Acceptable Use Policy
This repo-authored draft is pending legal review before production publication. The Acceptable Use Policy supplements the Master Services Agreement and applies to every Anilize customer and authorized user.

Prohibited industries
The Services may not be used by, or on behalf of, any business or individual that engages in any of the following activities, regardless of state-level legality. Customer attests at provisioning that it does not engage in any of the following:
- Online gambling, sports betting, or real-money gaming
- Adult content, services, or media (including pornography and transactional escort services)
- Cannabis, marijuana, hemp-derived THC products, and other Schedule I controlled substances
- Cryptocurrency exchange, wallet, custodial, or money-transmission businesses
- Payday lending, title lending, or any consumer credit product with APR exceeding state usury caps
- Debt collection, debt buying, debt settlement, or debt relief services regulated under the FDCPA
- Money services businesses (MSBs) as defined under 31 CFR §1010.100
- Firearms, ammunition, weapons, or weapons accessories sales
- Multi-level-marketing or pyramid-scheme businesses
- Any business currently subject to a federal or state regulatory enforcement action, consent decree, or active fraud investigation
Anilize may suspend or terminate the Services if Customer is found to engage in any prohibited activity.
Prohibited use cases
Customer will not, and will not permit any user to:
- Reselling, sublicensing, or distributing the Services or their output to any third party outside the loan-origination workflow.
- Using the Services to construct or substitute for a Fair Credit Reporting Act 'consumer report'.
- Using Plaid-derived borrower data outside the loan-origination workflow it was collected for.
- Sharing Anilize, Plaid, Stripe, or other vendor API credentials between Anilize tenants or with third parties.
- Bypassing borrower consent flows surfaced by Anilize or by integrated providers (including Plaid Link).
- Reverse-engineering, decompiling, or otherwise attempting to derive the source code of the Services.
- Scraping, mirroring, or unauthorized aggregation of Services content or output.
- Interfering with the integrity, security, or performance of the Services, including the introduction of malware, denial-of-service traffic, or unauthorized automation.
- Probing, scanning, or testing the vulnerability of the Services without prior written authorization from Anilize Security.
- Using the Services to send unlawful, deceptive, or unsolicited bulk communications.
- Storing or transmitting payment-card data through the Services in a manner not contemplated by the Agreement (Anilize is not a PCI-compliant payment processor).
Customer obligations
- Maintain valid NMLS company and individual licensing for every jurisdiction in which Customer originates loans.
- Comply with all applicable federal and state lending regulations including ECOA / Regulation B, FCRA, RESPA, TILA, GLBA, and the SAFE Act.
- Obtain all required notices, consents, authorizations, and acknowledgments from borrowers before submitting their data to the Services or to integrated providers.
- Ensure each authorized user accesses the Services only through credentials issued to that individual user.
- Promptly notify Anilize at security@anilize.com of any suspected security incident, credential compromise, or unauthorized access.
- Promptly notify Anilize at legal@anilize.com if Customer's business activities change in a way that may bring it within a Prohibited Industry.
Suspension and termination
Anilize may, with or without prior notice, suspend or terminate the Services or specific users to address an active security incident, fraud concern, regulatory request, or violation of this Acceptable Use Policy. Anilize will communicate the basis for suspension or termination through the contact on file as soon as reasonably practicable.
Reporting
To report suspected abuse, security incidents, or violations of this Acceptable Use Policy, contact legal@anilize.com.
Changes
Anilize may update this Acceptable Use Policy as products, legal requirements, or security controls change. Material updates will be published on this page and, where required, communicated through the contact on file.
